One still PNG, JPG, or WebP, up to 30 MB and 24 megapixels. Maximum 8,192 pixels per side. Animated images are rejected.

Image settings

PNG keeps transparency and ignores quality. JPG uses a white background. WebP quality 100 is still lossy.

Adjust how far the blur reaches

This tool applies a box blur across the entire image. A radius of 8 averages a 17 by 17 pixel neighborhood. A radius of 0 leaves the decoded pixels unchanged. Edge pixels are extended to avoid a transparent border.

Larger radii soften more detail. Transparent colors are blended using alpha to reduce dark fringes. Blur is not a reliable way to redact secrets or personal information; use an opaque cover or remove sensitive content instead.

Keep the original

Edits are applied to the original image each time. Export re-encodes the decoded pixels and does not preserve the original metadata. Colors may differ with browser decoding. Large images can exceed device memory even within the stated limits. If processing fails, try a smaller image.
