PNG keeps transparency and ignores quality. JPG uses a white background. WebP quality 100 is still lossy.

Choose a shape for your post

These are practical image dimensions, not a promise of compatibility with every platform or placement. Square and portrait layouts work for many feeds; a tall 9:16 canvas suits story-style layouts.

Crop to fill removes edges symmetrically. Fit keeps the whole image and adds transparent padding, or white padding with JPG output. Check the preview and the destination requirements before posting. ToolPixels is not endorsed by a social platform.

Keep the original

Edits are applied to the original image each time. Export re-encodes the decoded pixels and does not preserve the original metadata. Colors may differ with browser decoding. Large images can exceed device memory even within the stated limits. If processing fails, try a smaller image.
