Image Compressor

Compress PNG, JPG, or WebP in your browser with quality controls. Preview the result and compare original and output file sizes before downloading.

Start with your image

One still PNG, JPG, or WebP, up to 30 MB and 24 megapixels. Maximum 8,192 pixels per side. Animated images are rejected.

Image settings

PNG keeps transparency and ignores quality. JPG uses a white background. WebP quality 100 is still lossy.

Your file is processed in your browser and is not uploaded to ToolPixels.

Compare the size and the detail

Choose JPG for photographs without transparency, or WebP to keep transparency. Lower quality generally reduces size but loses detail. PNG ignores the quality setting and preserves decoded pixels. Re-encoding PNG does not guarantee a smaller file.

The result reports actual byte sizes and savings, including when the output is larger. Dimensions stay unchanged. Keep the original if the result is larger or loses too much detail.

Keep the original

Edits are applied to the original image each time. Export re-encodes the decoded pixels and does not preserve the original metadata. Colors may differ with browser decoding. Large images can exceed device memory even within the stated limits. If processing fails, try a smaller image.
