Break-Even Calculator
Find how many units you need to sell, and the revenue required, to cover your costs.
Calculate the break-even point
Informational calculation: This estimate assumes fixed cost, unit cost, and unit price remain constant. It does not account for taxes, discounts, changing costs, or product mix.
What the result means
The exact break-even point is where total contribution equals fixed costs. If units can only be sold whole, round up to the next whole unit to cover the stated costs.
For example, fixed costs of 10,000, variable cost of 12 per unit, and price of 20 per unit produce a contribution of 8 per unit. The break-even point is 1,250 units and 25,000 in revenue.
