How the calculations work
To find a percentage of a number, divide the percentage by 100 and multiply by the number. To find what percentage one number is of another, divide the first by the second and multiply by 100.
Percentage change compares the difference with the absolute starting value. A positive result is an increase, and a negative result is a decrease. Percentage change is undefined when the starting value is zero.
