About the WAV export

Exports 16-bit PCM WAV at the browser-decoded sample rate, retaining mono or stereo channels. WAV can be larger than the original MP3 or AAC file. Tags and artwork are not copied. Compressed audio may include small encoder delays.

Compatibility and limits

Support depends on the codecs available in your browser. The audio is decoded in memory, so a small compressed file can still require substantial memory. Cancellation discards the result, but a browser decode already in progress may finish before releasing memory.

Use short files in a current browser. Keep the tab open until the download is ready. A file extension does not guarantee a supported codec. Damaged, encrypted or unusually encoded files may fail.
