How dates are counted

This calculator uses calendar years and months, not fixed 365-day years or 30-day months. The remaining days are counted after complete calendar months.

For dates on the 29th, 30th, or 31st, a shorter month uses its final day. A February 29 anniversary falls on February 28 in a non-leap year. Dates are treated as calendar dates, so time zones and times of day do not change the result.
