Split PDF

Choose pages or ranges from a PDF and save them as separate files.

Choose a PDF

One PDF, up to 100 MB and 1,000 pages.

Use commas between selections. For example, 1-3, 5 creates two PDFs in range mode, or one four-page PDF in selected-pages mode. Page numbers start at 1.

Up to 100 output files, 1,000 selected pages, and 200 MB of results per split.

Your file is processed in your browser and is not uploaded to ToolPixels.

Choosing pages and ranges

Use the page positions in the PDF, not printed page labels. Enter 1-3, 5 to keep pages 1 through 3 and page 5. Pages you leave out are not included in the results. To split a six-page document into two halves, enter 1-3, 4-6.

Selections keep the order you enter. For example, 5, 1-2 puts page 5 before pages 1 and 2. Repeated or overlapping selections include those pages again. Ranges must run from a lower number to a higher one.

What to expect

Pages are copied without converting them to images. Their size and rotation are preserved. The original PDF is not changed.

Password-protected or damaged files cannot be processed. Interactive forms, bookmarks, signatures, and other document-level features may not carry over. Digital signatures will not remain valid in the new files. Review your downloads before sharing them.

Large or complex PDFs may exceed your device's memory even within the limits. Try a smaller file if processing fails.
