Image tool

PNG to JPG

Convert a PNG image to JPG. Set the quality, preview the result, and download it.

Choose your PNG

One still PNG, up to 30 MB and 24 megapixels. Maximum 8,192 pixels per side.

Lower quality usually produces a smaller file. Higher quality preserves more detail. Transparent areas become white.

Your file is processed in your browser and is not uploaded to ToolPixels.

What changes when you convert?

The JPG keeps the PNG's pixel dimensions. JPG uses lossy compression, so even quality 100 is not a lossless copy. Small text, sharp edges, and flat graphics may look clearer in the original PNG.

JPG cannot store transparency. This tool places a white background behind transparent and partly transparent pixels. The original PNG is not changed.

Quality and file size

Start at quality 90. If the result is too large, lower the quality and convert again. A JPG is not always smaller than a PNG, especially for simple graphics. Compare the file sizes and preview before downloading.

Supported files and limits

This tool accepts one still PNG at a time. Animated PNGs are not supported. Images are decoded and re-encoded by your browser; original metadata is not preserved, and colors may differ. Keep the original if exact colors or metadata matter.

Large images may exceed your device's memory even within the limits. If conversion fails, try a smaller PNG or another browser.
