JSON Validator
Check whether your JSON is valid. Find the first syntax error with a line and column number, then jump to it.
How to use it
- Paste the JSON you want to check or open a local JSON file.
- Select Validate JSON to check its syntax.
- For an error, use Go to error, correct the input, and validate again.
What validation checks
Checks JSON syntax, including quoted property names, separators, escape sequences, and number syntax. Objects, arrays, strings, numbers, booleans, and null are valid top-level values. It does not validate a JSON Schema, detect duplicate keys, or confirm that values are right for your application.
JSON requires double quotes. Comments, trailing commas, undefined, NaN, and Infinity are not valid JSON. Error positions count from 1; columns use UTF-16 text positions. Very large numbers may exceed the range supported by other software.
