How to use it

  1. Paste HTML or open a UTF-8 file. Load the example to try it.
  2. Choose indentation, then select Format HTML.
  3. Review the output. If an error appears, correct your input and try again.
  4. Copy the result or download html-formatter.html.

Source formatting, not rendering

Prettier uses standard HTML display rules by default. Choose strict whitespace when custom CSS makes spaces significant; strict output may stay compact. Script and style contents are not reformatted. This is not an HTML conformance checker or sanitizer. Template dialects such as PHP and server-side templates are not supported.

Only the required local processor is loaded when you run the tool. Large jobs run in a cancellable background worker. Source and results remain text, including scripts, markup, and URLs.
