CSS Formatter
Make CSS rules and declarations easier to read with consistent spacing and indentation.
How to use it
- Paste CSS or open a UTF-8 file. Load the example to try it.
- Choose indentation, then select Format CSS.
- Review the output. If an error appears, correct your input and try again.
- Copy the result or download css-formatter.css.
Readable CSS without loading it
Uses the Prettier CSS parser. Strings, selectors, custom properties, and nested rules are parsed as source; styles are never applied to this page and URLs are not fetched. This is formatting, not a check that every property or value is supported by browsers. Use plain CSS rather than Sass or Less.
Only the required local processor is loaded when you run the tool. Large jobs run in a cancellable background worker. Source and results remain text, including scripts, markup, and URLs.
