Unit conversion

Temperature Converter

Convert absolute temperatures between Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin with clear formulas.

Convert a value

Use a decimal point, not a comma. Scientific notation such as 1e3 is accepted.

Your values are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to ToolPixels. This tool does not save them.

Temperature scales have different zero points

This converts temperature readings, not temperature differences. Celsius to Fahrenheit uses °F = °C × 9/5 + 32. Celsius to Kelvin uses K = °C + 273.15.

Values below absolute zero are rejected: -273.15 °C, -459.67 °F, or 0 K. To convert a temperature difference, offsets must not be added; this tool is not intended for that calculation.

Example

100 °C = 212 °F.

Precision and input limits

Results use browser floating-point arithmetic and are rounded to your selected number of significant digits, not decimal places. Small or large results may use scientific notation. This is not an arbitrary-precision calculator.

Enter zero or a number with magnitude from 1e-100 to 1e100. Temperatures must also be at or above absolute zero. Swap units exchanges the unit choices without changing your input. Editing an input clears the previous result.
