How to convert PNG to PDF
Package screenshots, diagrams and other PNG images as pages in one PDF while controlling their order and page layout.
Open the PNG to PDF toolUnderstand PNG before conversion
PNG preserves sharp edges and supports transparent pixels, which makes it common for screenshots and graphics. A PDF page does not behave like a transparent canvas in every viewer, so review any transparent areas against the exported page background.
Conversion does not add detail. Small or blurry text in the PNG remains small or blurry in the PDF.
Convert PNG files to PDF
- Add the images to the PNG to PDF tool.
- Arrange the images in the desired page order.
- Choose A4, US Letter or fit each image at 96 pixels per inch.
- When using a fixed paper size, choose portrait or landscape and set a margin.
- Select Create PDF, inspect the pages and download the result.
Use A4 or Letter for a consistent printable document. Use fit each image when mixed image dimensions should determine their own page sizes.
Balance dimensions and file size
PNG can be large for photographic content. If the PDF is too large, resize the images before converting or use an appropriate photographic format. Do not resize diagrams so aggressively that labels become hard to read.
Common questions
Will the PNG transparency be preserved?
The image is placed on a PDF page, so inspect the exported background and appearance rather than assuming transparency will display identically in every viewer.
Can I mix PNG and JPG files?
Yes, through the broader Images to PDF tool.
