Account security
How to generate a strong password
Choose a long, unique password with secure randomness, meet the site's character rules, and store it in a password manager instead of memorizing variations.
Open the Password GeneratorGood default: use the longest password the account accepts, include all supported character sets, and never reuse it.
Generate a password step by step
- Open the free Password Generator.
- Choose a length from 4 to 128 characters. Avoid the minimum for real accounts.
- Select uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols when allowed.
- Optionally exclude similar characters when someone must read or type the password manually.
- Generate and save it directly in a trusted password manager.
The generator uses cryptographically secure browser randomness and guarantees that every selected set appears at least once.
Length, variety and compatibility
Length expands the number of possible passwords. Character variety also helps, but a service may reject certain symbols or impose a maximum. Check its stated rules instead of weakening every password for one restrictive site.
Excluding I, l, 1, O, 0 and o improves visual clarity but reduces the available character set slightly. It is most useful for codes that must be transcribed.
Avoid the common failures
- Do not reuse a password across accounts.
- Do not build predictable variations from a name or year.
- Do not paste secrets into untrusted forms or messages.
- Enable multi-factor authentication where available.
- Replace a password promptly if it may have been exposed.
ToolPixels generates locally and does not upload or save the result. Other software on your device, including clipboard history, can still access copied content.
Common questions
Should I change passwords on a schedule?
Follow the account provider's policy. In general, change a password when it is exposed, shared, reused or otherwise at risk.
Can I use one generated password everywhere?
No. Generate a separate password for every account so one breach does not unlock others.
