How to convert images to PDF

Turn a sequence of supported image files into one shareable PDF, with one image placed on each page.

Open the images to PDF tool

Prepare and order the images

Rotate and crop each image first. Use descriptive filenames or review the image order after upload, because that order becomes the PDF page order. Combining formats is useful for scans, screenshots and photos that belong in one document.

Page size changes the layout, not the source image. A4 and US Letter create uniform pages. Fit each image uses its dimensions at 96 pixels per inch.

Create the PDF

  1. Add the images to the Images to PDF tool.
  2. Move files until the image order matches the intended page order.
  3. Choose A4, US Letter or fit each image.
  4. For fixed paper sizes, choose portrait or landscape. Set a margin in PDF points; 72 points equal one inch.
  5. Select Create PDF, review and download the file.

Choose settings for the job

For printing, select the paper size your printer uses and leave a useful margin. For a digital portfolio with mixed image shapes, fitting each image avoids forcing every page into one paper ratio. Very large source images can produce a large PDF, so resize them beforehand if file size matters.

Common questions

Can one PDF contain both JPG and PNG images?

Yes, when both formats are supported by the upload control. If every file is JPG or every file is PNG, the dedicated converters provide the same focused workflow.

Does converting improve image quality?

No. The PDF packages the available image data into pages; it cannot restore detail missing from the source.
