How to convert text case

Case conversion changes capitalization and, for identifier styles, word separators. The right format depends on whether the text is prose, a heading, a filename, or code.

How to convert case

  1. Paste the source text into the ToolPixels Case Converter.
  2. Select the case style you need.
  3. Review punctuation, names, acronyms, and technical terms.
  4. Copy or download the converted result.

For camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, and kebab-case, the converter identifies word boundaries and rebuilds the text with the requested separator and capitalization.

Case conversion cannot edit meaning

Automatic title case does not know every publication's style rules. Small words, brand spelling, acronyms, and names may require manual correction. Sentence case also cannot reliably identify a proper noun if the source has lost its capitalization.

Review example

Converting an api guide for iphone users mechanically may not restore the preferred forms API and iPhone. Keep a short review step for public copy.

Use identifier cases carefully

Changing a code identifier can break references because many languages are case-sensitive. Convert a proposed name before it enters a codebase, or use a refactoring tool that updates every reference.

For URLs, kebab-case is readable, but changing an existing public slug also changes the URL. Add a redirect when renaming a published page.

Common questions

Does case conversion change punctuation?

Uppercase and lowercase normally preserve punctuation. Identifier formats may treat punctuation and whitespace as word boundaries and replace or remove them.

Which case is best for a title?

Follow the style used by the publication or product. Title case and sentence case are both valid conventions.
